Dinner with Jobita and La Chacha

Repertorio Espanol presents a staged reading of Dinner with Jobita and La Chacha, a Runner-up in the 2002 Nuestras Voces (Our Voices) Playwriting Competition. Using traditional Caribbean recipes, the aging white Jobita and her elderly black servant Chacha cook for their visiting family while serving up memories and details regarding the island’s culture that has dictated the course of their lives.
