El Beauty Parlor

A talented director, actor and producer, Iris Silverio is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Of Dominican parentage, her exotic good looks led her into modeling and appearances in several Latin music videos with Cilia Cruz, Fulanito and Dominic, among others, before she turned her attention to theatre. Her first short work, Rice N Beans, was penned in 1998. It was followed by her Spanglish comedy, El Beauty Parlor, which is featured for six performances during the final week of the Urban Theatre Arts Festival.
