El Enano En La Botella/El Album

About the Show

The Dwarf, made of earth, wishes for the seas to dry up so that he avoids being turned to mud. He lives inside a glass bottle, shrunken and condemned to this trapped existence for killing his father. Weaving elaborate philosophies and theories, he defends his bottle, his place, which is a non-place, and his time which is static, non-existent and detached from reality. El Enano En La Botella parodies the optimism of the Dwarf, who while trapped remains impossibly positive and sees each limitation as an opportunity, reminiscent of the Cuban saying “They are killing me but I am having fun.”

El Album involves a society lady surrounded by her photos, stories and memories–an alienated being bleeding from the wound of her past.
