After her successful New York City début, Mexican musical theatre and jazz superstar Florencia Cuenca will be back at The Metropolitan Room with her project The New Standards. The show is arranged and music directed by musical theatre composer and Florencia’s husband, Jaime Lozano.
Florencia and Jaime have created what they called The New Standards taking songs from contemporary musicals such as Raisin, Follies, Pippin, The Color Purple, among others, and making their very own versions with eclectic and latin jazz influenced arrangements by Jesus Altamira and Jaime Lozano.
