HeadRush is a fast paced play about two idealistic friends in suburban Connecticut who divide their life between hitting golf balls at the driving range, working their menial jobs, and dealing fake LSD to naive frat boys in order to support a charity that saves baby seals. One evening, after one of their “schemes”, a jaded Hooters waitress enlightens them that the seals only get six percent of the money. Suddenly, stripped of any sense of purpose, their respective lives spiral out of control in a self-destructive attempt to find the truth behind why they do what they do amidst a tangled web of lies and seemingly arbitrary metaphors.
Appropriate for ages 16 and up.
