La Caída de Rafael Trujillo

The story of the last 10 years of the 30-year regimen in the Dominican Republic of the Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo. Teatro Círculo, one of New York City’s leading Spanish-language theatre companies, known for its creative staging of classical and contemporary works, presents (back by popular demand) La Caída de Rafael Trujillo (The Downfall of Rafael Trujillo) written by award-winning playwright Carmen Rivera and with the direction of award-winning director Cándido Tirado. It sets up a series of events, internal uprisings, betrayal, international pressures and political intrigue, as well as the personal failures that led to the downfall of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina. The cast includes José Cheo Oliveras, Adriana Sananes, Bill Blechingberg, Erick González, Iván Goris, Johary Ramos, Diana Pou, and Francis Mateo.
