About the Show

Naomi Iizuka’s Language of Angels is a stark, poetic trio of ghost plays centered around the disappearance of a young girl in the cave country of North Carolina. Throughout the play, Iizuka probes the nature of truth, the complexities of memory and the pain of regret as the circumstances and fates of those who survived her are explored.

Naomi Iizuka’s work has received several acclaimed New York productions in recent memory. Her 36 Views was produced at the Public Theatre in 2003 and War of the Worlds, a collaboration with Anne Bogart’s SITI Company, was presented at BAM’s Next Wave Festival in 2000. Her other plays include Polaroid Stories; Aloha Say the Pretty Girls; Tattoo Girl; and Skin.
