Mother of Mine

When Morjean tells her husband Jack that she’s ready to have a baby, she doesn’t mean she’s ready to be pregnant. But before they know it the couple find themselves racing through the insane and inane landscape of a modern, urban pregnancy, until they end up in the center of a three car pileup on the West Side Highway.

In a world where mothers are too ashamed to ask for help, Morjean tries to find her way through the search for self as the self she once knew is constantly shifting and expanding. She struggles for control over her own life, her body, and her family. Mother of Mine is an exercise in the pursuit of perfection.
