Five women bring to life 18 characters (including the men) in Olivier-winning playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker’s homage to famous cross-dresser Isabelle Eberhardt who took on both the French and Arab worlds of turn-of-the-century Algeria – dressed as an Arab man.
New Anatomies is the true life-story of how one extraordinary woman fought for hope amidst the feuding worlds of European imperialism and Arab nationalism – a story sadly resonant with our
world today. Presented by Wrought Iron Theatre Productions.
There is a free performance of New Anatomies on September 11, 9:30pm – in memoriam. No reservations for this performance are taken. Admission is on a first come, first serve basis.
Appropriate for audiences 12 and above.
