Nuncrackers, from beginning to end, is a show filled with the traditional Nunsense sense of humor with the sort of one-liners that have made the four previous Nunsense productions. It’s time for the annual Mount Saint Helen’s Christmas pageant featuring all the merry nuns, Fr. Virgil, and four of Mount Saint Helen’s most talented students. After performances of “Twelve Days Prior to Christmas,” “Santa Ain’t Coming to Our House,” “We Three Kings of Orient Are Us,” and “It’s Better to Give than Receive,” comes the evenings star attraction, an original ballet based on The Nutcracker, starring Sister Mary Leo as the Sugar Plum Fairy. Unfortunately, Sister Leo is unable to perform and the Reverand Mother and Fr. Virgil must figure out how to salvage the show. Mishaps abound.
