Inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, Michael Counts creates So Long Ago I Can’t Remember — a divine comedy. The audience is cast in the role of Dante in a 40,000 square foot series of 13 installations. Viewers journey through inhabited landscapes, which gradually reveal interpretaions of Dante’s Forest, 9 circles of Hell, Purgatorio and Paradiso.
