The Baby Dance

In California, a well-to-do couple, Rachel and Richard, put an ad in the paper, looking to adopt a healthy white baby. In a small trailer park in Louisiana, Wanda seeks a better life for her unborn child. With four kids and a husband who is less than respectable, she decides to answer the ad. The Baby Dance presents the issues in a humorous light, until a poignant climax when they must all make one last decision that will affect everyone involved–especially the unnamed baby. Jane Anderson’s play is directed by William Gilmore as the premier production by the new theatre company, “collaborations.”
