The Exquisite Tale of Ronald Pelican tells the fantastical story of a 19th Century Navy Admiral, who, having a human for a mother and a pelican for a father, is destined to cope with the blessings and curses of being a flightless man-bird. After drowning in an untimely shipwreck in the South Seas, Ronald was denied access to heaven and now spends his eternity in the antechamber of Hell, doomed to tell stories to anyone who will listen.
