New York Classical Theatre presents The Feigned Courtesans, a rarely performed Restoration comedy by Aphra Behn. The great appeal of New York Classical Theatre’s productions is that they are adapted to work with the park’s natural terrain. The audience follows the performance from place to place, as the plot unfolds from scene to scene. They are drawn into the stories of these great works as if they were part of the drama itself. Every 5 to 10 minutes a new scene begins with characters appearing in a different location; over hills, dropping out of trees and, sometimes, being chased right through the audience!
All performances begin just inside the entrance to Central Park at 103rd Street and Central Park West.
