The Good Earth

Inspired by true events, The Good Earth is the explosive new story of a Welsh village fighting to save their homes and mountain unravelled through physical theatre akin to the Welsh-trained Frantic Assembly, new writing and Welsh folk song, bringing to life a valley torn apart by their council, big business and eventually themselves.

Facing pressure from the local council to move when a new development is proposed, a small group of ardent Welsh villagers decide to fight back. This explosive new play provides cultural context to the anti-establishment sentiment of rural Wales that has partly led to the recent “Brexit” vote.
