The Power of Shakespeare features the Canticum Novum Singers under the direction of Harold Rosenbaum performing the New York premiere of Benjamin’s Sometime Voices, based on Caliban’s famous speech from The Tempest; Heinz’s Symphony No. 8, inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream (also a New York premiere), and Act III from Verdi’s Falstaff.
