Jeff Baron’s, Visiting Mr. Green, will be the last production of Queens Theatre in the Park’s 1999/2000 season. This Off Broadway hit tells the story of two men: Mr. Green, an 86-year old retired widower who is almost hit by a car driven by Ross Gardiner, a 29-year old corporate executive. The two strangers’ worlds literally collide when a judge orders the younger man, charged with reckless driving, to perform community service assisting the cantankerous Mr. Green. What starts out as a comedy about two men who do not want to be in the same room together turns into a gripping drama as they discover old wounds and secrets long kept silent.
