About the Show

A puppet protagonist’s journey to find a homeland for his displaced people is the framework for an examination of our First Amendment. As he travels from desert to forest, from the feet of the Statue of Liberty to the end of the world, myth is paralleled by reality. True stories of liberty, including cast members’ experiences in Times Square protests, with jaded parents and attempts to petition are intertwined with the hero’s. A blend of hopeful allegory, chilling realism, humor and the belief in a place where freedom isn’t wasted or abused, Where You Now Shall Go explores the best and worst of being free. Stone Soup Theatre Arts is partnering with the NYCLU and other education groups to help inform New York City’s youth about their First Amendment Rights.

Tickets are $20.00 Opening Night. $10.00 Opening Night Party ONLY.
