Three one-act fantasies, two by the well-known playwright Don Nigro and one by Glen Goodman, are presented under the collective title, Wonders of the Invisible World Revealed. Staged by award-winning director, Chris Presley, the two-character plays star Geany Masai and Omar Rodriguez performing all the roles.
The first play, Wonders of the Invisible World Revealed, by Don Nigro, takes an incidental scene from H.G. Wells’ The Invisible Man and imagines a startling and provocative dialogue between the title character and a chambermaid. In the surreal second play, The Babel of Circular Labyrinths, by Don Nigro a blind Argentinian writer, Borges, using riddles and jokes, deals with the issue of mortality by having a conversation with one his own characters, a mysterious woman. In the seriocomic third play, Take A Number, by Glen Goodman, a dead man who won’t accept his own premature death finds his battle with bureaucracy isn’t over.
Additional performance Monday, October 18, 8pm.
