Matters of the Heart marks Patti LuPone’s return to the Vivian Beaumont stage where she starred in Lincoln Center Theater’s production of Anything Goes. In this very limited engagement, the Tony Award-winning actress/singer, accompanied by piano and string quartet, performs contemporary music, as well as standars from Lennon & McCartney to Rodgers & Hammerstein, Randy Newman to Stephen Sondheim, all dealing with the affairs, the crimes, and the mysteries of the heart.
