Sonnets to Sundry Notes of Music

Sonnets to Sundry Notes of Music was commissioned by Tim Peirels, a software developer and record producer, who requested a piece to commemorate his late father, an applied mathematician and stage director who loved wine, food, music, theater and Shakespeare in particular. The cycle takes the six Shakespeare-attributed poems in the Sundry Notes collection and stes them to music with the same forces as the Brahms Liebeslieder Waltzes – a quartet of singers accompanied by two pianists at one keyboard.
