A fusion of dance and theatre, Bill T. Jones’ Company erupts from the stage like an unstoppable force of nature. This bold new work contemplates human dignity rising in the face of natural disaster, like Katrina, the Mississippi flood of 1927 and Noah’s Ark. Theatrical, spiritual, passionate, profoundly personal. Danced to live music performed by Daniel Bernard Roumain and the young Bronx-based hardcore band “Regain the Heart Condemned” as well as classical music by Richard Wagner, and slave and folk songs by Bessie Jones. Another Evening: I Bow Down is followed by a Q&A with Bill T. Jones.
