Directed by Jiri Zizka, Charles L. Mee’s Wintertime is a surreal romantic tragicomedy that introduces audiences to Jonathan and Ariel, who have traveled to Jonathan’s parents’ summer home in the middle of winter to have some amorous solitude. When the young couple arrives, they discover that their perfect romantic getaway is about to unravel as a variety of parents and neighbors barge in with lovers in tow. As this dance of seduction and jealousy begins, audiences realize that several of these characters know each other a bit more intimately than they have let on.
