Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Public Exposure New Play Reading Series continues with For The Life of Him, by David Finkle, directed by Ted Pappas.

In this insightful and intelligent new play, Harris Persky is one of the pre-eminent novelists of his generation, and is poised to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. At this auspicious moment, his partner Lawrence has convinced him to allow a younger writer – Daniel Freund – to write his authorized biography. But as Daniel is drawn deeper and deeper into the real (and tremendously dysfunctional) world of his larger-than-life hero, he learns that even the greatest of literary titans can still have feet of clay.
