About the Show

Pittsburgh Public Theater presents Michael Healey’s hilarious and heartwarming play The Drawer Boy, winner of Canada’s most prestigious theater awards and one of TIME’s 10 best of 2001. The play begins as Miles, a naïve young actor doing research for a play, moves in with two middle-aged farmers, the curmudgeonly Morgan and the fragile, damaged Angus. The humor of Miles’ bumbling attempts to be helpful gradually transforms into something deeper, as he begins to unearth the farmers’ troubled past and helps them to heal emotional wounds that stretch back 30 years. The legendary Marshall W. Mason directs.
