Charleston’s Poet Laureate Marcus Amaker teams up with New Music Collective percussion explorer Ron Wiltrout for a powerful performance of Jazz and Poetry.
Marcus’ poetry and music have been featured and recognized on the A&E Network, The Kennedy Center, TEDxCharleston, PBS NewsHour, and many others, and he’s currently the Artist in Residence at the Charleston Gaillard Center. One of his poems is on a Grammy nominated album! Ron performs and records regularly throughout the country, with ensembles ranging from Jazz and Salsa to Avant-Garde and Contemporary Classical music.
