The 12th Annual Heller Awards for Young Artists

The Heller Awards for Young Artists (HAYA) celebrates high school musical theater by fostering community, recognizing talent, and supporting arts education in the Greater Austin area. Schools unite to honor creativity, collaboration, and the impact of the arts through awards, master classes, hands-on training with industry professionals, scholarships, program grants, and critical feedback. Since 2014, it has grown from 19 schools to a thriving program that elevates young performers and educators. By providing resources, mentorship, and industry connections, the HAYAs help students develop confidence, discipline, and leadership skills that shape their futures—whether in the performing arts, public service, or careers yet to be imagined.
