A Bright Room Called Day

Closing out our 2024 season, Nu Sass will partner with Pinky Swear Productions for a co-production of Tony Kushner’s A Bright Room Called Day. This revival of our hit 2016 production will highlight the Nu Sass company, and will feature several of the original stars from our original production. Juxtaposing 1980’s America against 1930’s Berlin in an exploration of humanity’s struggle to preserve the best of ourselves in the face of insurmountable injustice and cruelty. This haunting play is as relevant today as it was when it was first premiered in 1985. We invite you to join these wild and weird characters as they celebrate our victories, mourn our losses, question the power of the individual, and act to ensure a better future.
