Into the Woods

Signature presents Into the Woods, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine as its inaugural production in its new theater in the Village at Shirlington. Eric Schaeffer directs.

The well-known tales of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Ridinghood are combined with an original story of a Baker and his Wife who desperately want children, but must remove the curse standing in their way. As the characters work to live “Happily Ever After,” they face consequences traditionally ignored in fairy tales.

There are no matinee performances on January 13, 14, 20, or 21.
