Much Ado About Nothing

The Riot Grrrls movement in the 1990’s asked, “Why aren’t there more women in punk rock?” Asking why there aren’t more women characters in classical theatre plays is futile, so Taffety Punk Theatre Company twists the act of performing Shakespeare, asking, “Why can’t women play the men?”

In September, that is exactly what will happen when Taffety Punk presents its fourth all-female Riot Grrrls production. This year, the Riot Grrrls take on Much Ado About Nothing, led by director Eleanor Holdridge.
