About the Show

The Imagination Stage presents Petite Rouge. Based on the book by Mike Artell, Illustrations by Jim Harris. Book, music and lyrics by Joan Cushing.
Directed and choreographed by Michael Bobbitt.

Deep in Louisiana swamp country, a small girl sets out to visit her sick grandmother with a basket of goodies. Look for some new twists in the old tale with this upbeat musical translation to a Cajun cultural setting. When the Big Bad Gator spies Petite Rouge on her journey down the bayou, she leads him on a dance through the New Orleans Mardi Gras all the way to a surprise ending.

There are performances Sundays at 12:30 and 3:30 PM and Saturday, Feb 5, 12 and 19 at 3:30 and 7:00 PM. There will be weekday spring break matinees Mar 29-31 at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

*Recommended for ages 4 and up.
