Each night King Shahryar marries and murders a young woman until the brilliant Schedherezade is brought to his bed. She delays her death by entrancing the king with tales of romance, lust, comedy, mystery, sensuality and sorrow. An ensemble of twelve actors celebrates the transformational power of storytelling as a cold and violent heart becomes free to laugh, cry and love again.
