About the Show
The Restoration Stage debuts with a new play with music written by Steven A. Butler, Jr., with music and lyrics by Christopher John and Courtney Baker-Oliver. The Truth (Welcome to the Down Low) deals with the impact on African American families of the phenomenon of married black men having homosexual relations outside of the home while maintaining their relations with their wives, especially in this era of AIDS.
