Juan Castano

Juan Castano can currently be seen on Netflix opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor in Rob Peace, which premiered at Sundance 2024. Other recent notable films include Matthew Lopez’s Red, White & Royal Blue on Amazon and Disney’s Encanto. Known for his award-winning work on stage, Castano recently starred in Toros (New York Times Critic’s Pick) for 2nd Stage. Other highlights of a long and diverse stage resume include Transfers for MCC (Lucille Lortel Award), Oedipus El Rey for the Public Theater (Drama League Nomination) and The Inheritance at the Geffen Playhouse. In 2018, Juan received the Drama Desk’s Sam Norkin Award for cumulative excellence Off-Broadway. Television work includes What/If opposite Renee Zellweger and Tales of the City opposite Laura Linney, both for Netflix.
